Advanced Defensive Pistol Training - Phase II
This class is the next step for shooters who have want to learn and practice the skills to defend themselves with confidence by learning to reload quickly under stress, clear malfunctions, and shoot from behind cover. Not a beginner's class, ADP II begins where ADP I leaves off with a review of safety and the lawful use of deadly force. It then progresses to advanced techniques and different self-defense scenarios. Advanced techniques will include close contact, weak-handed shooting. Self-defense scenarios will require split-second decision making. Students will shoot 250-300 rounds of ammunition during this rigorous, 7-hour course. Prerequisites: Satisfactory completion of Deliberate Defense ADP Phase I, or NRA Personal Protection Inside the Home, or NRA Personal Protection Outside the Home. A functioning semiautomatic handgun with at least three magazines, strong-side holster, and magazine holder.
